1. Who We Are

SpanishDrivingTest.com is a free online study platform to help people prepare for the Spanish DGT Permiso B theory examination. The site is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) or the Spanish government.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide and improve the service:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and approximate session duration, collected anonymously via analytics.
  • Practice progress: quiz results stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers.
  • API keys: if you provide an API key to use AI features, it is stored only in your browser and never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Cookies

We use functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly. We may use anonymised analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the site. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.

4. Third-Party Services

The site uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: back-end infrastructure for AI features and podcast storage. Data is stored in the EU.
  • Google Gemini / OpenAI APIs: used to generate AI explanations and podcast content. Questions submitted to these APIs are governed by their respective privacy policies.
  • Pexels: stock images displayed on the site, loaded directly from Pexels servers.

5. Data Retention

We do not collect or store personally identifiable information. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form. Any data stored in your browser (localStorage) remains entirely under your control and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold about you.

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically no personal data to access or erase. If you have any concerns, please contact us using the details below.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for individuals aged 17 and over (the minimum legal driving age in Spain). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
